1. How fast can I install and uninstall The Zonker?
The Zonker is designed for speed. With the quick-release clevis pins you can have it fully installed on your raft frame in about one
minute and removed in about one minute. No tools required.
2. What is The Zonker made of?
The Zonker is built from 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum — the same high-strength alloy used in aircraft and marine
construction. It's lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and built to handle the river environment.
3. Does a hammock come with The Zonker?
A hammock is not included. You can purchase one by clicking on the hammock link on our website.
4. How much weight will The Zonker hold?
We have successfully tested The Zonker with a 300-pound load with no issues. It is built for real-world river use by real people.
5. How long until I receive The Zonker after ordering?
Please allow 14 to 17 business days from the time your order is placed to delivery. International orders may require additional
time.
6. Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship The Zonker anywhere in the world. International shipping times will vary by destination.
7. Is The Zonker made in-house?
Yes. Every Zonker system is built in-house. Quality control is not optional — every unit that leaves our shop meets the standard
we set from day one.
8. Is The Zonker patented?
Yes. The Zonker System is a USPTO patent-pending product. Application filed March 2026.
9. What is your return policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with The Zonker, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order and we will make it right.
10. How much does The Zonker weigh?
The complete Zonker system weighs approximately 24 pounds.
11. Can two people use The Zonker at the same time?
The Zonker is designed as a single-person hammock suspension system.
12. How does The Zonker attach to my raft frame?
The Zonker mounts on top of your existing raft frame using the included hardware. Installation requires a welder to cut the frame
at the center point so the couplers can slide on. A diagram for your welder is included with every order. If you are ordering with a
new frame, have your frame builder slide the couplers on before the corners are bent — it's the easiest way to go.
13. How long is The Zonker when fully assembled?
The Zonker spans approximately 56 inches when fully assembled.
14. How do I store The Zonker when not in use?
The Zonker breaks down into two sections for easy storage in your rig, trailer, or gear room.
15. Is The Zonker available in different colors or finishes?
Currently The Zonker is available in its natural 6061 aluminum finish. Starting in the 2027 season we will offer a variety of
anodized colors.
16. Do you offer wholesale or outfitter pricing?
Yes — if you are an outfitter or retailer interested in carrying The Zonker, contact us directly to discuss wholesale options.
17. How do I care for and maintain The Zonker?
Rinse with fresh water after river use, dry before storage, and inspect the clevis pins and saddle rings periodically. That's really all
it takes.
18. How do I contact you if I have a question not answered here?
Reach us directly at tommie@thezonker.com and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
